Scam Alert: Protect Yourself Against Phishing Scams

On 21 April 2021, La Vita Living Products (LVLP) issued an urgent warning to its distributors about a phishing scam targeting members of its network. Fraudsters are impersonating LVLP via phone calls, falsely demanding payments or outstanding money be transferred to the company.

This illegal activity, known as a phishing scam, is designed to deceive individuals into sharing sensitive banking or personal information. Please be reminded:

  • La Vita Living Products will never request or demand your banking or personal information, such as passwords or online banking log-in details, via phone.
  • Any such request is fraudulent and should be reported immediately.

Protect Yourself
To avoid becoming a victim of fraud, always remain cautious and informed:

  1. Never share sensitive information over the phone, especially if the call seems suspicious.
  2. Visit the South African Banking Risk Information Centre (SABRIC) at www.sabric.co.za for the latest updates on scams.
  3. Consult your bank about measures they offer to protect you against phishing scams and bank fraud.
